KIS 7.0 AOL9 XP Home

KIS support sent me a page that has to do with speed of AOL which sorted out a problem I had in August when I first got KIS but didn't relate the question I asked.

This new error only appeared last night and the last support email (about 30 minutes ago) said it was parental controls.

I've followed their instructions (although I have never touched parental controls) but changing to parent hasn't made it stick so I'm awaiting a reply.

Messages appearing:-

The requested URL http://www.aol.co.uk/?psz=8x6&cclr=s...sofferingid=16 is forbidden (THIS IS THE WELCOME SCREEN)

The requested URL http://channels.aolsvc.co.uk/music/ is forbidden (THIS IS AOL MUSIC)

I have taken a screen shot and uploaded it and the error is below, followed by a link to the actual screenshot.

Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0
The requested URL http://a.photobucket.com/hserver/ran...z=TP_RECTANGLE is forbidden

Their reply was this ...

This will be a Parental Control issue. To modify Parental Control, open your main Kaspersky window by double clicking on the "K" icon in your taskbar.

Click on Settings, then "Parental Control" on the left. Change the profile to the "Parent" option, and then click Apply, bottom right.

I followed the above but I think I need to go further into Parental Controls because after clicking okay it reverts back to child. I've had a look and if I change to parent (drop down box) then click settings there is a box with password? so maybe I have to go into that, but that wasn't mentioned in their reply email and I don't like to fiddle with stuff I don't know about. Also there is a box with enable parental control ticked.

They say things go in three's so I've had my lot for this week

EDIT:- I just sorted it out myself and decided to untick the enable parental controls as I've never used them and not sure why it's enabled itself and all my pages are appearing as they should be.

hmmm.... wonders can I "thank" myself
