Default Re: ebay ranking higher than website

I can see your eBay store and your website on Google.

You currently have 54 pages of your site indexed and your homepage even has PR1.

What phrases are you using to try to find your store?

You site needs some basic SEO done to it. The first things I would do would be to make your page titles more SE friendly, add meta description tags to your pages and increase the amount of keyword rich text on each page. Another thing that will help you rank better for your chosen keyphrases is to use them as your link anchor text as opposed to your URL e.g. use something like ear rings and pendants instead of http://www.glasskanvas.com/ for all links pointing to your site.

If you do all of the above, you should start to see an improvement in a matter of weeks, though it'll usually take a few months for the benefits to really kick in.

Once you've done all that, you can continue to fine tune your site with various techniques to make it more search engine friendly and acquire more incoming links to it.

Two tools that'll help you are, Google's Webmaster's Tools, which among other things will allow you to submit sitemaps directly and Google Analytics which will show you how visitors are finding your site, where they come from and what they do when they get there.

If you read through some of the threads on SEO on this forum, you will find other tips that will help you to rank better.
