If you use paypal you can still accept cards etc, I think paypal pro allows customers to do so without opening a paypal account but you will need to check this out and the fees and cost per transaction etc.
Worldpay will allow you to accept most major cards but you will need a merchant bank account, different than your business account. You can apply for one through worldpay but it is more expensive.You also wait on average 4 weeks for payments to hit your account.
I would start with payapl initially until you are up and running and apply for your merchant bank account. Shop around for the best deal though.
