Default advice please

I am , fingers crossed, branching out into a new area but it does overlap slightly. without saying too much my site is ranking on 1st page of google for 'popular' search phrases for this new line.
So do I add a new category to current site, or....do I create another site but have the category on current sitelink straight through to new site???
Or do i add the products to current site?
Maybe It will be easier when you know what it is but don't want to tempt fate just yet

Just my opinion, but if you have that position on Google,
keep it at all costs..so add new category/products to current
site, as google likes already indexed pages
having new content; shows your site is
not stagnant/dead..HTH

I do have a small selection of boys fancy dress but to be honest it doesn't do as well as the girls. However if this new 'project' comes off I will have much more space which means I can add to the boys ranges.I will probably start with fancy dress though and see what happens.

Not bothered really that site is pink..personally
would not start another site, but slowly add few lines
for boys and test the water first..also have a granddaughter
so do stop by from time to time, to see what you have..
when she visits next, will ask her what she fancies.
I like that Betty Boop teeshirt but she may have other
ideas.

Why doodle on them when you can sell them as designer labels! "Domino's"

I would keep the products on the first site that are ranking on page 1 of Google, but I'd also put them on the 2nd more specialised site with a different description to create a larger search engine footprint. If/when the 2nd site can match the 1st one in regards to SERPs for the keywords for those products, then I'd consider phasing them out of the 1st site and letting the 2nd one take over. You will then be able to focus your SEO efforts on each site's particular niche.

well I can tell you all now, I am buying a dancewear shop!
I will be adding all my stock to the dancewear shop .I have decided to add a dance category to my current site as a lot of the dance costumes overlap into fancy dress also.I will use blushdance.co.uk as an information site for the shop with links to my main site. I will also be making costumes to order so these will be advertised on blushdance,
where will I find all the hours
