Earlier my site would not load and it has been like that ever since. I can log in to my admin panel but after that nothing. My site wont load or my control panel.

It just loads for a few mins then says:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

How do I diagnose problems with the site?

I've just had a look at your site and everything seems fine, though I noticed that you have lots of massive thumbnails on your site. Most of your thumbnails are over 50KB when there's no need for them to be over 5KB. Being over 10x larger than they should be, means that they take 10x longer to download. If you reduce their sizes to a more reasonable figure then you will notice a significant increase in your site's speed.

I can access it through fire fox so it looks like i need to clear me cookies

The main page is extremely slow loading but once it loads the rest of the pages seem normal and are not slow at all. It does seem that it's taking a longer than normal time to resolve the address. His computer is probably timing out if he is on dial-up. I'm on a very fast DSL line and it was very slow for mine.

Did you get your images sorted?
I just tried your site fraggle and it loaded really fast for me.Wish I hadn't though as I have seen a lovely charm bracelet! Can't spend this month with new shop, next month eh?!

hey

I did tinker with some and its seems better. It seems to speed up/slow down whenever it feels like it - I'm beginning to wonder that this website has a life of its own. I watched I Robot last week it gave me the heebie jeebies

Some of images on your front page are linked to outside sites
i.e. paypal, freeweb etc
Suggest you download those images and store on your
host server..otherwise if those outside sites are slow
or not available, this will affect your own site loading.

The off-site images should load indendently of your page. I would check your ISP first and secondly your host. Find other sites hosted by the same company and see if scripts are loading slow or if it's just a temporaray thing.

I left Netfirms hosting last year for the same reason. Your images may be a little on the large side but people like me with broadband should load that page in just a little while so theres something else going on there. JMHO!
