Default Just a couple more things.

Thanks for the tip on Firebug Lawrence....I wish I had known about this a month ago....could have saved myself hours!

I just have 3 more problems and then I should be up and running.

1. When I change the text colour of "Featured Products" in the centre box on my front page it also changes the text colour of "Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in". How can I change one colour without the other?

2. When running the website on xampp I set up the shipping very simply so I just have 3 zones the UK, Europe and Rest of the World. I don't want any other shipping options. Now the website has been hosted when I do a test purchase I am getting different options eg. buy in store, flat rate etc etc. I have been into admin, modules, shipping but there is only one entry there saying flat rate and I can't even get into this. I am sure this shipping has all change since I uploaded from my own pc to the host. Can anyone suggest anything.

3. Finally, when using xampp I would just login under http://localhost/admin with no problem. However, now the website has been trf via firezilla I can no longer use xampp to view the website on my own pc even though all the files/ folders etc are there. I just get a host not accessible message when trying to do this.

Sorry this goes on a bit......I think in my case a little knowledge is def a dangerous thing! but I am getting there slowly by trial and error not really understanding the logic behind what I am doing!

Thanks

  1. You'll need to tag each bit of text individually, then create separate CSS entries for each of them. This isn't something that a novice should attempt.
  2. This sounds as if there's a problem with your installation. If you only have one shipping module, then it shouldn't be giving your customers other options. Check that everything was installed properly.
  3. FTPing doesn't affect the source of the files, it only copies them leaving the originals intact. Obviously the original installation has been changed, but it wasn't you FTPing the files to the server that did it.
