Default Page Width

I have been viewing my website in different browsers, not sure if any of you have heard of but its www.browsershots.org (I expect you already have) Anyways my website does not fill the whole page, someone told me I had to change the page width to 100% but I cant remember whereabouts should I be looking? Any ideas please?

If you change the width to "100%" then your header may look odd in a wide window. To change the setting, you need to edit the CSS stylesheet for the template you have used for your store.

That's entirely up to you. What you have to bear in mind is, if you do, then you're going to have a lot of white space either side of your logo in the header.

It can be done..
http://www.dezinacart.com/
is 100% width. Takes fair bit of coding
and configuration to produce header...
If you are unsure,
and your site is viewing fine.. leave as is.
If it aint broke don't fix it.

Brilliant thanks. Only a couple browsers turned up dodgy screenshots so I am happy to leave as is at the mo until I get a bit more experience.

When I set mine at 100% it produced a bottom scroll bar so I made it 98%. also why not include a header background set to repeat in order do fill any whitespace.

That method will work fine for simple header
i.e. text with repeating background but not
when image/s are sliced to produce 100% width appearance.

I dont follow.
Seems to work fine for me.
Logo image with transparent background.
With a repeating logo wrapper image

All it needs is Fragg1es to change the logo backgound to transparent.?

No but Fragg1es has a plain white background.
why could that not be replaced with a repeat image?

To be honest you may be better sticking with a fixed width of say about 1010 pixels which will fit the majority of users screens nicely.

100% width on a widescreen, which are becoming more commonplace, looks terrible...
