Default software integration

Is it possible to integrate 3rd party software so that it can be used by your customers:-
I have a mainly food orientated website( nearly) but have found it far too expensive to use specialist software for my recipe database ,what I am after is this :- http://www.livingcookbook.com/ for customers to use. I choose this one because I can put links into the ingredients section that take customers to my product listings as well as all the other great features, but I need to control the links as well as it appearing within my site.

Hi Derrick

Yes you can integrate 3rd party S/W into Zen-cart, One way you can do it is with EZPages but it depends on the S/W used and the level in integration required. The S/W you mentioned http://www.livingcookbook.com/ only appears to be available as a client side application i.e. it runs on your PC and not a web server. I had a quick look on Hotscripts for you and found a few free PHP recipe apps http://www.hotscripts.com/search/16257837.html it might be worth giving one of these a go.

If you need help installing any of them on your server just shout, I'm sure if I'm not about someone will give you a hand to put it online.

Lawrence
