I want to change the title of my specials to sales, but I am going round in circles trying to find out how to do it.
I don't like the salemaker as you can't be specific as i would like, you have to choose whole categories!

There's a very easy way to find the location of text on your site using Dreamweaver.
Edit menu/Find Replace select "Entire Current Local Site", make sure the search field is set to "Source Code", type in the text you want to find then click "Find All". This will find every file that contains the text you specified.

Via zencart admin, choose tools, then developers tool kit...
enter name or phrase in one/all of the boxes listed there..
This option available for anyone not having Dreamweaver.

the tab abd sidebox still have specials but when you click on sidebox it changes to sale whcih is what I tried changing it too??

Best to have an english.php file specifically for current template
to make sure not overwritten at later upgrade
i.e.
/includes/languages/nameofyourtemplate/english.php

well I still have it showing up as specials along the top but not too worried about that though sidebox is showing up as sale now and thats what I wanted.

That is governed by image in your template..
maybe able to alter in header file of template..can't say for
sure as don't know how template coded

Ooops, my one only changed the navbar not the box heading.

To find text like this in future, use one of the methods me or Dezina described above. If you use DW to edit the file, then it's easier to use that to find the text as you can click on the search result to open the correct file ready for editing. The Zen admin method is handy for when you're looking for a word that's common in the source code and returns lots of results as it's more selective than the DW method.
