Hi Debs
If you already have the template, then you upload the files to /includes/templates You will need an FTP client for this, I assume you already have one? If not, I can point you in the right direction. Once the template is on your server you can select it in admin from "Tools/Template Selection" To change the header on the site, there's two methods I tend to use. One is to navigate your FTP client to includes/templates/your_template/images then switch the clients view to "Thumbnails", this will allow you to see all the images that makes up the template, simply change the images you think need to be changed. Another way to find the location of the header image is to right click on it from your homepage, then select "properties", this will give you the URL of the header image. Simply replace it with something else. Note that this method will work with most images on a page but it won't work with form images i.e. "Submit Buttons", for form button images use the first method I described.

Thanks again Lawrence(i'm always typing that)
Another question re:templates. Why are most templates small in size ? i can't find many that fit the screen,is there a reason for this? I am using a widescreen so i understand they will be smaller but even on our desktop monitor they dont fill the whole screen. I would like to find a template that is edge to edge on a screen but i can't find many so that is why i'm asking what is the reason for zen displaying in only half of my screen. Debs xxxx |

Many people like to use fixed width templates so that the page will always look the same whatever size of window you use. If you use a variable width page then when the user changes the size of his/hers browser window the page elements move sometimes overlapping each other which can look messy. There are some templates that are stretchable but the fashion seems to be for fixed width.
Templates aren't my strong point. I have as much artistic ability as a blind goldfish so if you need help adjusting a template to your liking you'd be better off finding someone with an eye for design. Nick and Ritchie come to mind for that type of stuff.
