I am so frustrated! I have uploaded the files to my site. I then went through the install program, but all I get now is the zen cart "Hello. Thank you for installing zen cart page." I must have done something wrong.

Is there someone out there who can go into my shop and find what I did wrong? I would greatly appreciate it.

You say you ran the install script (zc_install/index.php)? Did you delete it afterwards as it isn't there now?

I suggest replacing the zc_install directory and running the install script again paying attention to any warnings about file permissions etc.

When the install script has completed successfully, it'll give you the option to go to the store's home page or admin. If it doesn't give you the option then something has gone wrong with the installation.

I did get to the option to go to the store's home page or admin. If I select the home page, I get to the welcome zen cart page. I tried renaming the zc_install directory to zc_install_old, but that didn't seem to help.

I had a couple clients have this issue also. The issue was cause due to the

includes/configure.php
admin/includes/configure.php

files did not have the correct database information in there.

Can you check this information and if all is correct then will have another think for you.
