ok how hard is it to upgrade then? I had a headache the last time don't want to go through that again!

Personally, I never upgrade any programme for at least 2 months..
like to make sure any bugs/problems are sorted first...
if your zencart site is working, would wait until 1.4 hits the shelves..

Yep, wait a couple of months then check the Zen forums to see what problems other people have had. The last thing you need Blush is for your site to start playing up before Xmas. Let others be the Guinea Pigs!

Latest from zencart forums, is that people are having problems when
upgrading, and even with clean installs, in some cases.
Still keeping to my original plan of holding out for at least 3 months,
before upgrading, and if at all possible, waiting for version 1.4

I didn't attempt an upgrade from the previous version, I deleted 1.3.7 then did a clean install. Installed without a problem but haven't tested anything yet.

I just gave up. found the installation to confusing, or more the preparation stuff.

Did couple 1.3.8 clean installs, on paid server, no problem at all.
Installed on localhost..cannot login to admin, unless I enter
admin url as .co.uk domain name have pointing to local server.
Using

Code:

http://localhost/zen138/admin/

produces zilch.
Since version 1.25, never had a problem installing locally, hence
my reticence to attempt upgrading any live store.
