Sorry I can't help, but I am sure someone will be along soon who can.You have some lovely things on there though. Your text is overlapping on the home page though.Not sure how it has happened but one line seems to have the bottom half of the letters chopped off to make way for the line underneath.You can still make it out though so don't panic! I amsure someone will help you with this too

Thank you for the kind words. I know what you mean about the words I saw it yesterday and when I refreshed the page it was ok. Don't know what it is!

You have some lovely kids things - sorry I don't have any kids!

Hope it is going well - any tips gratefully received.

That's because your entire site is in frames, hence why the address in the address bar on your browser never changes when you change pages.

This is what Google and all other search engines see when they view your site.

HTML Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Frameset//EN"><title>naturallysimple.co.uk</title>
<frameset rows="*">
<frame src="http://www.lycoseshop.co.uk/epages/luk.sf/?ObjectPath=/shops/naturallysimple.co.uk" scrolling="auto">
</frameset>
As far as the search bots are concerned, that is all that is on your site, the rest is on www.lycoseshop.co.uk . The best thing to do is get some proper hosting and host your store on that. Doing it the way you are with Lycos, you will never have any success with the search engines.

Thank you for your reply.

Why would Lycos have eshops that you can't promote? They even have a link to add my site to google. No wonder when I sent them a message they did not answer the question! It seems I have spent an awfully long time and it has been wasted if I can't get onto search engines and links etc.

Any tips?

Have a look at the free shopping cart templates on offer like zencart, oscommerce etc.
There are some useful threads on here covering them.You need a decent host and a decent shopping cart package. Its a shame that you have done all that work and no one can find you so in all honesty you have nothing to lose by starting again.Your domain will still be the same it should just transfer over.Your new host can help you with all the technical stuff more than likely.

You can promote it, but you're very, very limited with what you can do with it.

The actual address for your store is www.lycoseshop.co.uk/epages/luk.sf/?ObjectPath=/shops/naturallysimple.co.uk and not www.natuallysimply.co.uk

If you view both pages in your browser and select "view/source" from your browser's menu, you will see the difference. Lycos won't tell you the inadequacies of their system because if they did, no one would ever use them.

If you want a store that you can promote properly then I'd suggest acquiring real hosting and installing a fully featured shopping cart. You can acquire suitable hosting for a shopping cart from about £50/yr and you have several choices of software to use for the store, many of which are 100% free.

You can go down the free open source route and use something such as ZenCart (most of the members on here use this software) which despite being free is a lot more powerful than a Lycos store, or you can use a commercial package such as OpenMindCommerce which is a made for UK shopping cart system, see the link in OpenMind's (Phil) forum posts sig or click the banner that appears on the top RHS of this forum.

Whichever of the above paths you take, you will be far better off than staying with your current Lycos store.

These are the current details of your domain and hosting http://whois.domaintools.com/naturallysimple.co.uk

I use Lycos e-shops and have never had a problem. Most of my pages are indexed in google and the other search engines and I got a PR of 1 from google after seven weeks.
Log into your Lycos back office and hit the 'manage e-shop domain' tab. Once in that page you want to use the 'vanity domain' option, not 'use a redirect' or 'use a frame' option. This should sort out your problem.
