Default help

Is there anyother reliable way of payment other than Paypal for websites and what does it involve.
I am in the middle of a chargeback via paypal and am not happy about it, if this could happen frome buyers from my site the possibilites are even worse and l feel soooo unprotected and fed up with online selling.

There's several other ways you can accept payment such as Google Checkout, Credit Card etc Charge backs are still a problem with some other payment methods too though.

This is a list of down-loadable payments mods for ZenCart http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...c073589b74e061
note that some of the ones listed aren't available in the UK.

Tinkerbell recently set up a merchant credit card account, I suggest you have a word with her about her experience.

UK orders..works very well...

No charge back/s, because payment/s going directly into your bank
account

AFAIK all credit cards can do a charge back, it's part of their consumer protection scheme. Debit cards payments I believe are a little safer as far as the merchant is concerned. I've only ever had to deal with a charge back once, and that was from PayPal on Tazbar by someone who'd done the same thing to about twelve other sellers, so it was obvious even to the ***** who work for PayPal who was scamming who.

I'm certainly no expert on it, no doubt someone will come along and give you more info on the subject.

The Distance Selling Regulations for UK merchants make it very difficult to protect yourself from chargebacks, but as you've found out PayPal offer virtually no protection to merchants. If you are based in the UK then consider setting up a merchant account with Streamline and going with Protx or Worldpay instead... at least with those you have a chance to argue against a chargeback.
