Default Website Opinions Wanted

Hi there,

I am new to this site but have nearly completed my website and just wanted a few opinions from people.

What are your first impressions?
What don't you like?
What can make the site better?

Thanks in anticipation.

Clean design, easy to navigate, interesting products.
Are you going to install SSL Cert?
If not, then regret would not purchase from your store,
If Yes, then would return when you have all products
entered.

Thanks Dezina for your comments.

I am currently using only Paypal for payments as I found World Pay far too expensive and I believe Lycos eshops only have these 2 options.

Do you know whether I can use any payment processing company with Lycos?

I take it this is what you meant when you questions SSL?

Thanks for you time,
Daniel

No... SSL is Certificate verifying your website and domain are
genuine i.e.

You are referring to merchant credit card processing account here.
Don't use Lycos; sorry, no idea what sort of payment mods they support.

Just called Lycos support and they checked my website - is has SSL but the padlock in the address bar will only come up when submitting personal data ie, when placing an order.

Think I will put something on the homepage to that affect.

Thanks.

Good idea, padlock image would look great.
Might also want to remove image,
bottom left column, if you say you are not
going to offer payment via worldpay.

You have to weigh up the pros and cons of offering worldpay or anything similar.
I waited until they had one of their special offers on. My sales trebled the first month when I added this as an option and majority of customers prefer this method.I would still bear it in mind for the future

NO, Don't do more advertisements! You want people to stay on your site and buy from you. Why would you need to put advertisements on?
