Default QuickBooks Pro 2006 UK version

Does anyone use this and more specifically does anyone know of a manual for the UK version as all the books I've found so far are for the American version which isn't just an Americanised version of the same S/W, it's a completely different piece of S/W so they are next to useless.

Why Amazon and other sellers sell these books in the UK is beyond me.

I've looked before but never found anything of substance. I suppose my biggest problem isn't so much getting to grips with the actual S/W it's my lack of understanding of some of the basic accounting principles required to use the S/W fully. At the moment I'm probably using less the 5% of the program's power.

The answer is probably to teach myself basic accounting and bookkeeping principles first, but the thought of that bores me to tears. I was hoping that the S/W would be a little more intuitive and do most of the work for me. It looks as if I'm going to have to either teach myself bookkeeping/accounting or pay someone else to do it for me

Pay someone else, or it will do your head in I have had 3 lessons so far on book keeping from an accountant friend, and I'd rather clean drains

I know what you mean, it's not the exactly most stimulating of subjects. The thing I like about Quickbooks is how easy it is to knock up invoices from your stock list and adjust your stock levels accordingly. It's the actual accounting bit that got me down.

If anyone need any help with their bookkeeping I am a qualified bookkeeper. Can only take it up to trial balance however. The rest is up to your accountant. Reasonable rates charged by the hour!!!!
