Post New Auction Directory

Good evening all.
I have just added a new auctions directory as a sideline to my site.
Many auction users who were listed in my old auctions listings directory will need to relist in this one.
Its free to list (as always)
And I am trying to cover all things auction
templates,photo hosts,auction sites/shops.The link is:
http://www.auctions.cushtydeals.com

This script gives each user a full page to advertise their site/shop and also supplies page rank and other SEO.
So please have a look and give me your thoughts
If it passes approval then I intend opening another directory for individual websites.
So any comments accepted.

That's a good idea that I'm sure will be popular with auction site sellers. The script is clean and well presented with some nice features. The only thing that seems to be missing is the ability to place a single entry in more than one category. Also, have you considered creating categories for product ranges e.g. Art & Antiques, Books etc, etc rather then the site's they list on so that users will have the ability to browse by a particular category across a range of auction sites?

Default Thoughts so far

Hi Lawrence.
The thinking behind the lay out so far is:
If a seller were to list on several sites. Then put a bid in of £1.00 then they would have several seperate. but identical, listings on the front page.
Where as listed seperately. They may choose to pay £1.00 to have one of their listings on the front page with the rest on the sites pages.

I did think about the catagories instead of sites and would go with the majority on that one. I can however add sub catagories to each site.
but even at say 20 sub catagories a site. That would give a lot of links per page.
Just about end up breaking the script

HAAA!!!!!!!!!! just thought could do it the other way round.
Catagories: Art & Antiques, Books etc,
Then sub catagories for different sites

How does that sound.

I would imagine that users are more likely to browse by product categories than by auction site. If they see a list of auction sites, many will stick to the ones they know. Besides, if they want to browse an auction site they may as well go to the site and do it directly whereas if the navigation is by product category the user is more likely to find what they are looking for and it may help introduce new users to sites they haven't used before.

Your last suggestion is the best one IMO.

Default Update on Auction Directory

Hi all again
After comments and thoughts I have changed the site around and now the catagories are as suggested . Art, Books etc.

The main catagories show on the home page. Once clicked, the sub catagories appear above them.

For shop owners who list on more than one site they can add up to 4 shops on each listing. ie. 1 listing but to 4 shops.

I hope you all agree with the improvements

Once again thanks for the imput and any more suggestions welcome.
