I asked this question on the Tazbar forums but noone knew the answer.


I have a few different websites containing links to my Tazbar auctions. Their urls all share the hosting package of my first website.


For example www.A.com is my main site with paid hosting. My 2nd url www.B.com points to www.A.com/B and my 3rd url www.C.com points to www.A.com/C


My question is:- I want to get a good search ranking for all my urls so is it OK to share the hosting site or should each url be hosted separately.

Google and some of the other search engines look for patterns in IPs and WHOIS info so if they spot a lot of links coming from the same IP or sites registered to the same person/company then they will be devalued. They're not worthless, but it'll be far better to get incoming links from sites that cannot be associated with you or each other.

Try to get as many one way links to as they have more value with google.

One thing that would help would be to change the anchor text in your links. Don't use your URL as you have done, use one of your key phrases because the text used in your links is important for SEO, so the more you use your phrases the more Google brownie points you acquire for those words.
