Default Coding Dummy.

Hey guys, I am looking to get into e commerce, but all the open source software I saw, need some sort of coding ability. I can't code to save my life. Is there any software that is template based, that's open source of very low cost. I don't want another monthly bill.

Any recommendations would be awesome.

Thanks

Andrew

Zen Cart as mentioned above and Magento are the two I would recommend.

Zen Cart is the one I was looking into. Is it template based, is it easy to update and change the layout?

Yes zencart is template based and fairly easy to use, if I can use then probably anyone can.
They do have some free templates you can download from their helpful forum or if you want something a bit more unique you can get someone to design and one for you, not that expensive either.
I use zencart for both my sites, Dezina designed the dancewear site for me.

I looked at both your sites, and they look really good.

I installed Zen Cart and it's seems ok, but I don't understand the Template Override System. How do I enable this?

I followed the instructions as best I can. Now I don't get any images in the admin panel. And the menu is no longer on the top of the page, it's just blue links on the left.

1. Have responded to your email.
2. Without taking look at your site, via admin and ftp,
difficult to advise what errors there may be regarding
your new template upload.

I got your email. I fixed the error with the admin panel. Silly me gave it no write permissions. It's fixed now. I am using the Custom Template thingie, but there are no files for me to edit. Any way I think I would like to get one of your templates. Is it difficult to implement.
