Hi
Welcome to forums.. I use 123reg.co.uk for .co.uk and namecheap.com for global.. Depends where you are aiming to sell your products.. .com and/or .co.uk should be fine ![]() |

If you're only selling in the UK then use .co.uk and redirect the .com to it. If you're selling internationally, then use .com and redirect the .co.uk to it.
I wouldn't bother with .net unless you're offering an internet service.

I've now purchased pupsandpets.com and .co.uk but says it takes 2-3 days to register.
Can you have email going through this so myname@pupsandpets.com or so on? |

Yes, you can either set up individual email addresses or use a catch all, so that any all emails sent to that domain regardless of the name used are sent to you.
In practice it doesn't usually take 2-3 days to "register" domains, you can often access them after few hours, though sometimes you'll find that others can't see the same as you until the new details have propagated around the net.

Neither. To register a new domain means to buy a domain, and to transfer a domain means to transfer a domain from one registrar to another. To assign a host to a domain you need to assign name servers to it then edit the DNS records.

You have to set up the email with either your registrar or web host provider, it depends what sort of deal you have with them. If your only have a domain registration account with your registrar and only have a web hosting account with your web host then you will need to either forward the mails from the registrar to another email address, upgrade one of your accounts to include email hosting or purchase another account with POP3 email. The company you've registered the domain with should be able to do this for you. If they provide POP3 email, then you will be able to use Outlook Express with it.
The best way to do redirect the .com address to the .co.uk one is to do a 301 redirect using an .htaccess file. If your hosting won't allow you to do this, then you can direct it from your registrar's control panel which isn't as good. BTW It hasn't been set up properly, when you use your domain name, it goes to your IP address instead of your domain.
