If you want to run your own store then stay well away from free web hosting accounts.
Ask yourself "Why are they free?" the answer is usually because they contain third part advertising, often these adverts will pop up and obscure parts of your site which does nothing about annoy your visitors. If you are going to have adverts on your site then get your own hosting so you can choose what ads to carry, where to place them and last but not least get paid for them!

Another disadvantage is that they tend to have very limited bandwidth, if you exceed your monthly allowance then your store will be replaced with a holding page effectively putting you out of business until the beginning of the next month.

If you only want a personal homepage then fine, but if you want to run a business then pay for your hosting, it really isn't very expensive.
