I NEED help and advice!
I have a joomla site and sell a unique type of product. I sell pedigree cats and dogs. Most of my sales are via the website or from expositions and shows.

I want to show what I have for sale on my site, but the shopping cart softwares I have seen are for inventory type products (where you have many of the same type of things: computers, tvs, etc). Since each animal is unique - even if they are from the same parents, each baby cat looks different and has different characteristics. This influences the price. Further, the buyer always wants to see pictures of the exact individual cat they are buying (this does not work with typical ecommerce software). So on to what I need. . . .



I saw a product that might be close to what I need. I want to display the product categories like this: Dog / Cat

Like I said I like that software for the most part but there are a few more things that are special to my needs.

1. Need ability to let person put a down payment on an animal to reserve it. The buyer would typically then pay via paypal/Credit card. They will pickup the animal from my house or at a show.

2. Need the ability to Integrate into Paypal so that when a downpayment is made, the status of the item turns to reserved. If full payment is made, status changes to Sold.

3. Need ability to integrate (if possible) into Joomla so that it can share the same user list.

Does anyone know of a simple to use, ecommerce solution that looks great, and can do what I need it to do for selling unique and individual items?

I would have thought any shopping cart could be used this way as you put in tock quantities so int his case you would only put one in.
Example if you use zancart.You can create a categorie fro say manx cats, then you add thte individual products to this category which would be each individula cat along with a description, price and pictures.
Is this what you meant?
