If you change the size of the actual images to the same size that they are displayed as in your store, they will look a lot better.
You always lose quality when your browser resizes images.

Default Several sizes

Yes, it's best to save your images with varying sizes - say 600x400 for large images and 150x100 for thumbnails.

Cool

I think the grey colour behind the shoes and clothing isnt helping the product to stand out i think you would be better if there was a white back ground, i dont mean to be rude your site is great but did you think about upgrading your site?? Take a look at this company http://themeforest.net/item/the-clot...commerce/64132 i bought a template off of them and it was the best thing i have ever done it was so easy to work with and only a fraction of the price, and also there is a company called www.huskora.com they host websites and have being very helpfull they are currently giving a free domain and a years free hosting,

Im sorry to point out but i have gone through your source code and who ever programmed you website for you did it wrong currently you will not show up on the search engines, if you need help with your website i will help you out i have alot of experiance in this area i can also help you with your photos as i am a model photographer, so if you want some help my email is darrensryan@hotmail.com, if not huskora.com will help you out,

Hit me back to let me no how you get on,

Kind Regards
Darren,

Take the best photo possible and resize it using one of the many programs available, personally I use Resizer from Fastone as it also allows me to watermark my images. Images are one of the most problematic parts of trading online as without good images your products won't have the effect they deserve but getting good images is quite an art

For the images to be used on site, you should prepare them under pixel mode and just as the same size to be used.

All the best,
