Default Website Product Images

This is my first post here, so hopefully in the right place and not too boring.

I am trying to find a company that can provide images for websites. We will be selling CDs, Games and Films - although our site will be 'slightly' different in size to 'pl*y' at this stage (lol).

We have found a company that proivide the covers for CDs and DVDs to websites. i.e. When you search for the KT Tunstall album (as an example) and came through to our site, her album cover would appear. It saves us from hosting all of this information ourselves and managing that aspect of the business.

The problem is in two areas.

Firstly, I have no-one to compare this company to (if anyone can help then I'll let them know the name of the company privately, but I don't want to be accused of spamming). I really need a comparison of price, technical prowess and experience to make an informed and important decision.

Secondly, they do not provide the images for computer games. I have found small companies that can do this, but they either don't have the product range available, have an illegal feel to them or are quite open about the fact that the covers are not the official artwork.

The covers must be official and we must break no laws in using them. The range will also need to be expansive.

Thanks for reading - sorry to ask so much from a forst post, but having had a brief look through some other threads there is some very useful knowledge on this site that I'd really like to utilise.

Ultimately, this company will be similar to PhotoBucket, but with the official covers of computer games, CDs and DVDs.

Cheers,

JamesW

Hi James

No need to worry, you posted in the the right spot and your post is far from boring. CDs/DVDs are out of my range of experience but I did a quick search and found this site Cdcovers.cc / World's Largest CD Covers and DVD Covers Album Art Archive the fact that they have an "upload" link suggests that most if not all of what they have onsite probably isn't original artwork and you have to download each image, but they also have a forum with 200,000+ posts General Topics - Cdcovers.cc Forums if no one on here can point you in the right direction it might be worth asking on their forum as that is their area of expertise.

Sorry I can't be anymore help than that.

BTW Welcome to eShop Forums.

Sorry I can't help but good luck in your search. Is there a reason why you can't host the images yourself? Although I would imagine You could possibly have a quite a bit of content if this is the field you are looking at.

Thanks for both your help - I'm off to the CD covers spot to take a look in more depth (I had been there, but was put off by the presence of 'upload' too.

Yep, you're right, there is an awful lot of information for us to store. This is why I'm searching for this type of solution.

Cheers both of you.
