Yahoo!'s
latest release is very exciting for a variety of reasons. For one, the redesign of the old, clunky,
cross-sell tool has always been difficult to manage. Now, Yahoo! will pull items automatically based on previous ordering patterns. It will be interesting to see if this new tool will give you the ability to control which items are, or are not, displayed.
The addition of a top converting
keyword report will make life easier for all merchants. Many of you may be using third party analytic tools such as WebTrends, Google Analytics, Click Tracks or other, so a report like this is nothing new. But for the few that are still using Yahoo!'s reporting tools as their ONLY means of reporting, this is a time-saver.
And probably the most exciting update is the addition of
open API's. While not everyone will benefit from this update immediately, open API's are a great step forward to making Yahoo!'s platform compatible with more systems and enhancements than ever before.
Once you have an opportunity to implement some of these new tools you'll see an increase in average order size, save time and improve order management.
