Default Scam email

This is a rather amusing one I received a few minutes ago.

(JOHN & COUNSELORS AT LAW)
06 BP 1409 AKPAKPA DODOMEY
COTONOU REPUBLIC OF BENIN.

My dear Friend,

I have been waiting for you since to come down here and pick up your $950,000.00 Bank Draft but I did not heard from you since that time. Then I went and deposited the Draft with Courier Security Company here in Benin Republic, because I travelled to Iraq to see my boss and will not come back till next month end. I want You to contact the Courier Company to know when they will deliver your package. I have paid for the delivering charges and insurance fee.The only money you have to send to them is there security keeping fee which is $96.00 Us Dollars to received your package.

This is their Contact Address, Contact Hon.Odiriga Mike.
Director of the courier delivery company Benin Republic.
E-mailinfo_royalcourriercompany@yahoo.fr)
Phone number +229-93413717.

Try to contact them as soon as possible to avoid increasing the security keeping fee and also give them your contact delivering address to avoid any mistake on the delivering. Let me know immediately you receive your Draft.

Thanks.
Barr.Hill John

Would someone like to contact "Director of the courier company" to arrange collection of the bank draft for me?

This one was sent to concensus@ which is a new one on me.

and when is PayPal going to realise that I changed my registered email address three years ago?

We may laugh at there sometimes ridiculously pathetic attempts to scam us, but there are some vulnerable people out there of obviously get taken in by some of them as Phil's BBC link shows.
